Workspace Preview

This content is not available in your language yet.

The Workspace app is a hosted web app, branded per company, where people talk to that company’s AI employees. One address serves one company. It has two sides:

  • Guests (your customers) open the page and chat, with no account. In a multi-specialist workspace, one concierge chat routes each question to the right specialist inside the same conversation and shows who answered.
  • Staff (your team) sign in to chat with the AI employees, find past conversations, download documents the AI made, and, for workspace owners, decide approval requests and read failure notices.

The preview uses a fictional travel agency, Happy Travel, with a concierge and specialists for trips, hotels, transport, day plans, booking requests and printable brochures. A second demo, Demo Clinic, has a single front-desk assistant.

  • A current desktop browser, and a phone (or your browser’s responsive mode) for the mobile check.
  • The preview address your Wetel contact sends you.
  • For the staff steps: the staff account your Wetel contact gives you (an Owner account, a Member account, or both). Use a private window per account.
  • About 30 minutes.

Write down the result of each step in the feedback template below.

  1. Open the preview address. You should see the company’s name and tagline, a message box, a few sample questions, and the list of the team.
  2. Have one conversation of six messages, waiting for each reply:
    1. Click the sample question “What is included in the Kyoto trip?”: the reply is labelled Itinerary Desk.
    2. Which hotel is near Kyoto Station?: Hotel Check.
    3. How do I get from Kansai airport to Kyoto?: Transport Desk.
    4. Plan 3 days for me: Trip Planner (it may ask for missing details first).
    5. I would like to book it: Booking Helper. It must say it cannot book or take payment and only collects a request for a consultant.
    6. Thanks, that is all: the concierge answers, with no specialist label.
  3. Check that later answers remember earlier ones (the plan and the booking request know you mean Kyoto), that prices are called demo or indicative, and that nothing is invented.
  4. Optional: ask a question in Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese. The answer comes back in the same language.
  5. To start over, reload the page.
  1. In the chat, type Can you make me a brochure for the Langkawi trip?.
  2. Making the PDF takes a little longer than a normal reply. Note how long it took.
  3. You should see “Your brochure is ready…”. If you see “Sorry, I could not prepare the brochure just now…”, wait a minute and ask again.
  4. As a guest you get the message only. The PDF itself is available to staff (step 3.4).
  1. Open the preview address with /staff/sign-in at the end, and sign in with the Owner account.
  2. The Staff page shows who you are (role: Owner) and the screens your workspace has enabled. The four basics are Chat, History, Approvals and Documents; a fuller workspace also shows Office, Employees, Hire, Team, Activity log, Usage and Models (see “More owner screens” below).
  3. Chat: talk to the concierge for a few messages. Replies appear whole after a short wait rather than word by word.
  4. In the same chat, ask for a brochure (as in step 2). A “Your document is ready” line with Download appears under the chat.
  5. History: an Owner sees every conversation of the workspace, including the guest chat from step 1, and can tick Only mine. Open a conversation to read its transcript.
  6. Documents: the brochure is listed as Ready. Download opens the PDF in a new tab. The download link works for 5 minutes; click Download again for a fresh one, and do not share the link.
  7. Approvals: lists requests waiting for a decision and decided ones, plus failure notices. The demo company does not create approval requests or failure notices on its own; if your Wetel contact has set some up for your session, open one, approve or reject it, and check that the screen reports that the workflow continued.
  8. Sign out.

Which of these you see depends on how your contact enabled your workspace. Hire, Developers, Schedules, Usage, Models, Activity log, Team and the Workflow editor are Owner-only; Office and Employees are visible to Members too.

  • Office: your AI employees as a team, on a board or in a game-like floor view, with who is working and what needs attention. Click an employee for its card.
  • Hire: pick a ready-made role (for example a support desk, a lead qualifier or a follow-up writer) and add it to your team.
  • Developers: create and revoke API keys (the secret is shown once, copy it then) and see this month’s usage by model and operation.
  • Schedules: see when your AI employees run on their own, pause or resume a schedule, and create a daily, weekday, weekly or monthly one.
  • Usage, Models, Activity log and Team: spend, which models are allowed, who did what, and who has access.
  • Workflow editor (only when your contact turned it on): the full workflow builder shown inside the workspace. If your browser blocks the embedded view, use “Open in a new tab”.

Things to check: a Member never sees Hire, Developers, Schedules, the Workflow editor, Usage, Models, the Activity log or Team.

In a new private window, sign in with the Member account and check what must not be visible:

  1. The Staff page shows Chat, History and Documents only. There is no Approvals screen.
  2. Opening /staff/approvals directly shows “Page not found”, exactly like a mistyped address.
  3. History shows only the conversations this Member started: none of the Owner’s and none of the guests’. A transcript address copied from the Owner’s window shows “Conversation not found.”
  4. Documents lists only documents from this Member’s own conversations.

If your contact also sent the Demo Clinic address: open it, click Front Desk, ask What time do you open on Saturday?, then ask for medical advice. The assistant should give the opening hours and refuse to give medical advice.

  1. At phone width, no page scrolls sideways, and the message box stays usable with the keyboard open.
  2. Using only the keyboard, you can reach every sample question, the message box and Send, and focus is always visible.
  3. At 200% browser zoom, everything is readable and nothing overlaps.
  • Test environment, fictional data, no real bookings or payments.
  • Staff chat shows replies whole after a short wait, and labels them with the concierge’s name, not the specialist’s.
  • Guests do not get cards or tables in replies, and cannot download documents.
  • Brochure generation can occasionally fail; the assistant says so politely and a retry usually works.
  • Approval requests, failure notices and card/table replies need test data that the demo company does not create by itself.
  • A staff sign-in stays valid for up to 30 days and there is no “sign out everywhere” yet; your Wetel contact disables preview accounts when the preview ends.
  • Password sign-in only; the screens are in English (the assistants answer in your language).
  • If you see a “please wait a minute” message, you hit a rate limit. Wait and try again.

Copy this, fill it in, and send it to your Wetel contact:

1. Was it clear who you were talking to?
2. Which answer would you not trust in front of a customer, and why?
3. Was the speed acceptable? Where did you wait too long?
4. As staff, could you find a past conversation and a document without help?
5. What is missing before a colleague could use this every day?

When something goes wrong, include the step, the address, the time with seconds and timezone, the exact message you saw and a screenshot. Never include passwords, download links or anything from your browser’s developer tools.
